The Kingman Fest Peoples Trust Company Sweepstakes rules 2026

  1. Overview:
    1. Date and Location: On May 9th, 2026, at 5:00 PM, a large spinning wheel with 18 slots will be set up at 25 Kingman Street, St. Albans, VT.
    2. Prize: There will be one winning slot on the wheel, and Peoples Trust Company (referred to as PTC) will award $500 cash to the lucky individual who lands on that slot.
  2. Entry into the Sweepstakes:
    1. Date and Time: On May 9th, between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM, individuals can enter the sweepstakes at 25 Kingman Street.
    2. Raffle Tickets: Participants will receive one raffle ticket from a PTC staff member.
    3. Double Entry Numbered Tickets: PTC's raffle tickets will have matching pairs of numbers. Participants keep one half of the pair, and the corresponding half is placed in a storage container for a random drawing later.
    4. Valid Entry: Each individual, at least 18 years old, is allowed one ticket. The first 500 people to arrive in person will receive a ticket. The distribution will continue until either 500 tickets are given out or 6:30 PM, whichever comes first.
    5. No Purchase Necessary: There is no requirement to make a purchase, and making purchases will not increase the odds of winning.
  3. Alternate Method for Obtaining a Raffle Ticket:
    1. Date and Time: Raffle tickets can also be obtained in person at 25 Kingman Street on Friday, May 8th, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
    2. Contact: Please visit the Main Office teller line for ticket pickup.
    3. Requirement: Entrants must be present at the drawing to spin the wheel.
  1. Ticket selection and verification:
    1. Around 6:35 PM, all the raffle tickets kept in a storage container will be mixed randomly.
    2. One ticket will be chosen randomly and announced.
    3. The person holding the announced ticket has 10 seconds to inform the staff if they have the correct ticket. The person will then make their way to the spinning wheel with guidance from PTC Staff.
    4. They must be present and show their matching ticket to two staff members for verification.
  2. Spinning the wheel:
    1. Once the ticket is confirmed, the person gets a chance to spin the wheel in a chance to win the $500 prize.
    2. A valid spin means the wheel must make at least one full rotation without any obstructions.
    3. If the person is physically unable to spin the wheel, they can choose someone else to spin it for them.
    4. The proxy spinner does not have any claim to the prize.
  3. Failed spins:
    1. If the first spin doesn't complete one full rotation, it doesn't count.
    2. The person will get one more chance to perform a legal spin.
    3. If the second spin also fails to complete one full rotation, their turn is over. No more spins will be given.
  4. Accelerated method:
    1. To ensure a quick winner, an additional winning slot will be added to the wheel after each unsuccessful spin.
    2. The next ticket will be selected, and if the person matches the newly selected ticket, they get one legal spin.
    3. This process continues until someone lands on a winning slot.
    4. Only the first person to land on a winning slot will win the $500 prize, and the contest ends.
    5. There will not be any additional winners of the $500 prize.
  5. Prize:
    1. The sole winner of the sweepstakes spinning wheel will receive a $500 cash prize.
  6. Documentation:
  7. Each prize winner must complete a W-9 and Prize Release Form to claim their prize.
  8. We may request each winner to have their photo taken with the prize for social media and marketing purposes, but agreeing to have your photo taken and published is optional.
  9. Agreements:
    1. Age Requirement:
    1. By entering this sweepstakes, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.

10.1. Broadcasting and Consent:

  • The actual spinning of the wheel will be broadcasted on Facebook Live.
    • By entering this sweepstakes, you consent to having your image and name read aloud on Facebook Live and in front of a live audience.

10.2. Claiming the Prize:

  • If you are chosen as the sweepstakes winner, you acknowledge that you will be required to claim the prize immediately.

10.3 Forms and Publicity:

  • If selected as the winner, you agree to complete the W-9 Form, the PTC Prize Release Form, and, if applicable, the PTC Publicity Release Form to publish your name and image.

11. Odds of winning:

  1. PTC will issue up to 500 raffle tickets.
  2. The odds of being selected to spin the wheel are 18 in up to 500.
  3. If selected, there are 18 slots on the spinning wheel, with only one slot being the winning slot.
  4. A single spin of the wheel has a 1 in 18 chance of winning.
  5. Your odds of winning, after each prior individuals unsuccessful attempt improves by an additional 1:18 ratio. I.e. Turn 1, 1 in 18, turn 2, 2:18, turn 3, 3 in 18 and so on until a person lands on the winning slot. Mathematically the contest will have a winner on or before the 17th spin.

12. Number of Prizes:

a. The contest will only award one winning prize of $500.

13. Eligibility:

a. Peoples Trust Company Staff and their immediate family members are  

                         not eligible to participate.

b. Individuals must be 18 years old or older to participate in sweepstakes.
